Zone Cakes German Marble Cake


This is a lovely cake with the flavor of almond and chocolate and it is virtually like a pound cake.

Ingredients


  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons dark rum


Directions


  1. Preheat oven to 350 levels F one hundred seventy five( levels C). Grease and flour one 10 inch tube pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter with the sugar. Beat in the eggs, then the milk and almond extract.
