Oreo Milkshake

With the temperatures soaring, intake of  smoothies & milkshakes are on the rise too. Oreo Milkshake is simple recipe using the very classic Oreo cookies, some vanilla ice-cream, milk and chocolate syrup. that's it. I know this is indulgence but sometimes we all need it, isn't it?

This milkshake is on the sweeter side due to the cream from these sandwich cookies  - Oreo and vanilla icecream. So if you like less sugar, by all means use just the cookies and leave the cream filling and leave the whipped cream garnishing as even that adds sweetness to this drink. For extremely chilled milkshake, add some ice cubes too while blending. This milkshake is on the darker side due to the presence of Oreo and chocolate syrup. My preference is vanilla icecream but you can add chocolate or a combination of vanilla chocolate icecream too. Lastly I feel chocolate syrup blends well with the Oreo so I add just a tbsp but if you dont have any you can completely skip it or add 1/4 tsp (or to taste) cocoa powder.

Now to the recipe...

Ingredients:  (Serves 1-2)

For Milkshake
5 Oreo cookies (of choice - am using the classic one)
1 cup of milk
2 scoops of vanilla icecream
1 tbsp chocolate syrup

For garnishing:
2 Oreo cookies
Whipped cream (optional)

Method:

In a blender, add all the ingredients mentioned for milkshake and blend together to get a creamy and frothy Oreo Milkshake. Pour it into your glass and top it with some whipped cream and crushed oreo cookies or simply with some oreo cookies.

Note:

I've used vanilla icecream but you can use chocolate or combination of vanilla & chocolate too.
If you like your milkshake less sweet, add just the cookies and leave the cream. Also add less icecream.
If you don't have chocolate syrup add 1/4 tsp cocoa powder.

That's it, our super creamy and decadent Oreo Milkshake is ready.  Have this as breakfast, snack or even as dessert. Enjoy!!
